no speedways

5 am drifting off my lane

hours of driving and yet feeling like i’m still where i started

the bottom teaches you how to fly

how to build wings out of fear

out of heartbreak

out of empty promises

out of no sleep, and yet I still eat

This ain’t for the weak and i’ve been building muscle out of the weights life has thrown at me

still balanced

still blessed

still waking up and thanking my saviour for his hand is extended further than my vision

reason I walk by faith so he can correct my steps

touching every moment just to leave me gifts

in the moment-to-moment

I still see myself as a phoenix

I rise despite it all

I rise and watch my enemies fall

My opp and his principalities

Sending shots and yet none that will ever touch this body

I don’t know who needs to hear this but God is on your side and he never left. Sometimes the enemy: El Diablo works through principalities essentially spiritual forces of evil often understood as evil or demonic influences. It’s not people that you’re fighting you’re fighting the way he uses anger, jealousy, lust, conflict, etc to accomplish his goal. Remember that he holds no true power. He does not exist outside of time the way God does. He only has the past as ammunition so the weapons may form … but will they prosper…? No! Much love and light beautiful people. God loves you!
