Beyond A Reasonable Doubt- Short Story Book Teaser
His skin resembled acacia wood or perhaps melted butterscotch. The sun hit the melanin of his skin perfectly at every angle; I couldn’t help but stare in awe. The light captured his cheekbones as though every ray was meant to settle and gracefully embrace him in radiance. A 6'5" solid frame seemed to conceal what I imagined to be a godly physique. A girl can only imagine, right? Maybe I was being a little too observant of this mysterious stranger whom I couldn’t turn away from. Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” lay forgotten on my lap, a single finger reminding me where I left off. I wondered, did he have tattoos under his black turtleneck? How could a shirt fit so perfectly on someone’s body? I have yet to understand. Was I jealous of this shirt? Hmm… possibly. The confidence was evident in his walk, shoulders straight, head level with the room, eyes already set in the direction of the barista who was just as mesmerized. Safe to say, I wasn’t the only one captivated.
