My Unpaid Therapy Sessions

Venting to my mirror image,

Mastering my inner critic.

The common denominator is the fault in my prescription—

It was written, "Man cannot live on bread alone," so He altered my vision.

Every time I catch myself passing judgment,

I’m reminded that it ain't my place or position.

My authority lies in remaining a witness—

A witness, not a bystander.

A good Samaritan, lowering ego to bottomless wells,

In search of that living water,

That reminder that

I

Am

To

Die

For.
