The One I’ve Been Waiting For

I hope when you rise in the morning you bless the light that streams through the curtains

Bless the tips of your feet for finding their way to hard vinyl flooring

cool to the touch

Bless the brown whirl pools that be your irises helping you to see

Both the light and the darkness

The in between spaces where our thoughts reside

I pray you bless the seasons that teach you pain doesn’t last in the same space as peace

When you feel that you’ve been at a stand still

Stagnant

Dust hanging from arched ceilings

Seeking that long awaited sense of relief

Bless the grief

Bless the tears that stream across warm cheeks

The ones the cleanse your spirit and renew your soul

Bless the people that held space

Bless the people that didn’t

Hold a mirror to yourself and bless your reflection.

Today I passed by a car wreck…

I couldn’t help but reflect on how fragile life can be. After praying for those involved I proceeded on my way home giving thanks to God for all the moments he made sure I got home safely! While we strive for better, bigger, and more wants I pray that you remain grateful for where you are and what you have now.
